A legal disclaimer
This refund and cancellation policy complies with relevant California and Arizona consumer protection and event venue laws, including:

California Civil Code § 1689.6–1689.14: Ensuring transparency in contracts and protecting consumer rights regarding venue services.

California Business & Professions Code § 17500 et seq.: Governing advertising and refund disclosures.

Arizona Revised Statutes § 44-1521 et seq. (Arizona Consumer Fraud Act): Protecting consumers from unfair or deceptive practices.

Arizona Revised Statutes § 32-2121 (Exemptions for real estate use): Clarifying short-term rental and event space usage compliance.
By submitting payment or executing a booking agreement, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Any disputes shall be subject first to mediation in the appropriate jurisdiction, and then, if necessary, to venue in Los Angeles County, CA or Pinal County, AZ, depending on where the services were rendered.
Refund Policy - the basics
Terms and Conditions: Refund and Cancellation Policy
At Goddess Canyon Estate, we honor the sacred nature of your time, investment, and intention. To maintain fairness and support our planning and preparation, the following refund terms apply:
Effective Date: June 24, 2025
1. Refund Policy for Bookings
All reservations for private events, retreats, photoshoots, and related use of Goddess Canyon Estate properties—including both the Pacific View property in Malibu, California, and the Star Dust Sanctuary in Eloy, Arizona—are considered non-refundable upon confirmation, unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
Payment confirms acceptance of these terms and secures the reserved date(s), during which the property is removed from availability for other bookings.
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may cancel their booking by submitting written notice to Goddess Canyon Estate. The following terms apply:

More than 30 days prior to event: We offer a one-time courtesy reschedule credit valid for up to 12 months from the original event date, subject to availability.

Less than 30 days prior: All payments are forfeited in full and no rescheduling will be permitted unless otherwise negotiated.

If Goddess Canyon Estate must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or reschedule will be offered at our discretion.
3. Force Majeure / Acts of God
Goddess Canyon Estate shall not be held liable for cancellation or rescheduling delays due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wildfires, road closures, mandatory evacuations, pandemics, power outages, or severe weather events. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your event without penalty within a 12-month window.
4. Client Responsibilities
It is the client’s responsibility to secure any necessary event insurance, permits, or vendor agreements. Goddess Canyon Estate is not responsible for third-party costs or travel arrangements made outside of our formal agreement.
5. Legal Disclosures
This Refund and Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California for events held at our Malibu location and the State of Arizona for events held at our Eloy location. By confirming a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Any disputes arising out of or related to this policy shall first be submitted to mediation in the applicable state before any formal legal action may proceed.
